My recent blog post “How important is one’s class 12 results?” attracted 10,000+ unique visitors to my blog within 5 days, resulted in 1000+ social shares, initiated interesting conversations on my blog comments & Social Media, appeared on Google Now cards, got shared by BlogAdda on Twitter, brought personal messages asking for career suggestions. Above all the post reached and made sense to a large number of students across the country. So when Souravda asked me to write a guest post on ‘how did I do it’, I readily agreed. I am sharing everything I did step-by-step, hoping it will help new bloggers to spread their message to their target audience more effectively.
Social Media Marketing World is an annual event organized by Social Media Examiner, where you can learn from who’s who of Social Media, live! But what if you can’t make it to the event like me? Thanks to the elaborate blog posts from awesome folks like Kristy Schnabel, atleast you can update yourself with the latest happenings in the world of Social Media and also learn some cool strategies discussed in the event. I found Kristy’s post 25 Strategies I learned at Social Media Marketing World 2015 so impressive, that it inspired me to create this infographic to share with my friends and clients.
So you’ve started your blog? Great! Welcome to the club. Now what? Don’t you want the world to know about your blog? Ofcourse you do, otherwise you could have written on your Diary instead. But if you are not a popular person already or don’t have fan following, how can you reach to a large audience? There are so many blogs out there, how would you stand apart from the rest? A well-defined Social Media strategy for bloggers like you is the answer.
I am assuming that you already understand the importance of creating an engaging Social Media presence as a Professional or a Brand. If you have started working on your Social Media presence in different Social Media channels, you must have felt that it’s not easy to manage so many tasks in so many different channels. That’s where Hootsuite comes as a lifesaver. It’s a very powerful (if not most powerful) Social Media dashboard, from which you can manage your entire Social Media presence. And the best part is that you can use it from your Android mobile too. Though there are many guides and tutorials for the Hootsuite web app, I couldn’t find a complete guide for Hootsuite mobile android app. That’s why decided to write one of my own. Hope you’ll find this valuable.
As I say good bye to 2014 and welcome 2015 wishing you a very Happy New Year, I want to take some time to review 2014. I want to evaluate the resolutions I took and see how many I could successfully continue and where I had failed. Also I want to jot down the lessons learned in 2014, so that I (and as I am sharing, I hope you too) can use these lessons to make coming years far more productive and fulfilling. This 2014 has been really a turning point in my life, for the first time I will be sharing with you lots of sneak peak into my personal ups and downs.
Life teaches us lessons every moment, isn’t it? If we are willing, we can learn from anyone and anything – from nature, the books we read, movies we watch, people we encounter, experiences we face. Though I believe that everyone learns best from their own experiences, but if we take some time to share what we are learning, it might make someone else’s journey a bit easier. That’s what I do, that’s what my purpose is. And in this post I’ve compiled different lessons of life, business and social media I’ve learned in my journey. Instead of writing only long paragraphs on the lessons, I’m sharing these lessons as inspiring photo quotes. Keep it on your phone or computer, pin it, share it, send it to someone who is in need of that particular lesson right now.
If you are using Facebook to create meaningful connections, build your brand, find your customers, share your unique message to the world, or to do anything important, then you should be very careful about some common Facebook mistakes. If you are just a casual user, using Facebook just as a time-pass, then you might skip this post. With more than 1 Billion user base, Facebook has made it possible for anyone from anywhere in the world, to find the right customers /audiences for what they are offering. But while trying to market/ sale/ promote their products/ services/ ideas most people forget the fundamental fact – Facebook is a ‘social’ network. And being ‘unsocial’ is the worst mistake you can commit which leads to a complete failure in your Social Media strategy. So what are the Facebook mistakes you should avoid?
You must have heard the saying that “You don’t become a human just after you are born. You need to develop certain qualities to be called ‘human’ unlike other living species”. I think same is true for being a ‘Social Networker’. One can not be called ‘Social Networker’ just because they use some social networking sites. One need to understand the true meaning of the terms ‘social’ and ‘networker’ to be qualified for that. Honestly I am learning & practicing being more social and a better Networker for quite a few years. And today I will introduce to you one of my teachers in this subject – Shilpadi (she is too humble to admit, but I’m always learning from her). She is among the very few persons I’ve met, who regularly meets new people, maintains good relationship with them, connects people with each other, takes the online relationship to real life meetings. And trust me, it’s easier said that done.
