Let me introduce a person to you today, who’ll not only inspire you to dream big, but also will give you the courage to handle failure with a smile. Sandeep Kedia – the guy who started as an Entrepreneur at the tender age of 17, inspired millions (including me), touched pinnacle of success; but most importantly he handled failure with equal grace. How can I not write about this crazy man with white long beard, when the motto of my blog is ‘live your best life’? Who else can inspire us better than Rabindranath Tagore, to live our best lives? I listen to Rabindrasangeet sometimes, honestly not much. I read many of his writings, but honestly not all. I can’t claim myself a Rabindranath expert, but the little I got to know about this person in my life, the philosophy of life I got to read in his writings or listen in his songs, literally gave me the courage to follow my heart and live my best life. Forgive me for saying this, but right here in West Bengal, where he was born,most people are very passionate & proud about discussing his work, but very few actually follow his philosophies to improve their lives. My purpose of writing this post is to remind you about those philosophies, that can really transform your life.
I just opened Facebook and read some very shocking news. “Indian-origin tech CEO Gurbaksh Chahal ducks jail despite beating girlfriend 117 times”. It came as a shock to me because, I was following him on Facebook and admired him as an inspiring Entrepreneur. From 335K followers on his Facebook page and 140K followers on his Twitter profile (both verified), you can guess that I am not the only one inspired by him, and shocked after reading this news. Though he claimed that all these allegations are false on Twitter. But I am not writing this post to judge him or support him. Rather I am writing this post so that we all can learn some lessons from this incident, to live our best lives.
Today’s post is very very special for me. You must have noticed that I always repeat the statement “Live your best life. Live your best life.” But what is ‘best life’? Well definition of best life is very different for different persons. But it can be generalized as ‘living upto your highest potentials, enjoying life at its best at every parameters, making a difference to the world’. So far, I’ve got the best definition as: “Living your best life means being a Rajarshi. Rajarshi = Raja (King) + Rishi (Saint). Your best life is when you will have wealth, name, fame – all external forms of abundance like a king, and also kindness, humility, giving heart, spirituality – all inner gifts of a saint.” And you know this definition changed my entire life.
